Romance «Otrada» is based on poem «The heart of oak» by S. Ryskin (1882) in the treatment of M. Shishkin. Apparently, the music to the poem was created by Gypsy guitarist and composer of the late 19th - early 20th century, Mikhail Shishkin, but there is no accurate information about whether he is the creator of music or just transferred it into a Gypsy romance.
